Tina DeMattia, MA joined Monica Stone’s practice in September 2004. She provides psychotherapy to couples and individuals, under Monica’s supervision.

Tina is currently running Women’s Sexuality Groups (only $40/session!), please call or email her for more information. Women benefit from and enjoy the group atmosphere and begin to get much more comfortable and fluent talking about sex.

In the last year Tina has worked under Peter Pearson of the Couples Institute at his popular “Coming From Your Heart” Workshops. Here she has gained experience coaching couples in the Bader/Pearson developmental model for couples.

Tina holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. Since September of 2004 Tina has been employed (MFT Intern, Reg. # IMF 46114) with Monica Stone (MFT 34704) in Monica’s private practice in Menlo Park, California. Tina provides psychotherapy to individuals and couples, and also works with elementary school-age children, adolescents and their families.

As an intern gaining hours towards full MFT licensure, Tina offers lower-fee counseling with a sliding scale if necessary. Typically, her available client hours are evenings after 4pm on Monday and Thursdays, all day Fridays and Saturdays 9 am until 1pm

Beth Anstandig, M.A., M.F.T. Intern joined Monica Stone’s practice in December 2004. Under Monica’s supervision, Beth works with a differentiation-based model of therapy, which means she helps people learn to live up to their individual integrity and values while staying connected to their partners (or important others). Beth has received training from Dr. Peter Pearson of the Couples Institute. She has also received training from Dr. Daniel Siegel who studies neuroscience and the ways that relationships impact the development of the brain. In addition to her private practice internship with Monica, Beth works in the psychiatric unit at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. There, she has gained experience working with older adult patients struggling with life transitions, patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychosis, and patients with eating disorders.

Beth earned her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMF #47439) earning clinical hours toward licensure. She offers reduced-fee services with availability in the evening hours.

Beth provides psychotherapy to individuals and couples. She has experience working with couples who are experiencing difficulties with a wide range of sexual issues. Beth is a member of AASECT (
American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) and CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists).

Beth holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing and was a university professor prior to pursuing her career as a therapist. She is currently forming a therapy group that uses creative writing as a vehicle for psychological growth and the healing of emotional wounds.
